This privacy policy applies to the Android application ScanVault: PDF Scanner & OCR (package com.scanvault.pdf), published on Google Play by Indi AI Solutions. It explains how the app handles your information.
ScanVault does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal or user data. The app has no internet permission, no user accounts, and no analytics, advertising, or tracking software of any kind.

Everything the app produces stays in the app's private storage on your device, readable only by ScanVault:
Text recognition (OCR) runs entirely on your device using on-device models. Documents are excluded from Android's automatic cloud backup. The only backups that exist are ones you create yourself with the app's "Back up vault" feature, saved to a location you choose.
Only what you explicitly export, share, save, or print yourself - to the destination you pick (for example another app, your own file storage, or a printer). We are not a party to those transfers and never receive a copy.
Photos you import are re-encoded when saved, which removes EXIF metadata including GPS location.Permissions
ScanVault requests no runtime permissions. It holds no camera, storage, location, contacts, or internet permission. The document capture screen is provided by Google Play services' on-device document scanner; captured images are returned directly into the app's private storage. Importing photos uses the Android system photo picker, and saving files uses the Android system file picker - both give the app access only to the specific files you select.
There are none. ScanVault contains no advertising SDKs, no analytics, no crash reporting, and no third-party services that receive your data. We do not sell or share data with anyone, because we do not have any.
ScanVault is a general-purpose productivity tool and is not directed at children. Since we collect no data from anyone, we collect no data from children.Data retention and deletion
Your documents remain on your device until you delete them. You can delete any document inside the app, or remove everything at once by uninstalling the app or clearing its storage in Android Settings. As Indi AI Solutions holds no data about you, there is nothing for us to retain or delete on our side, and no deletion request is necessary.
Documents never leave your device unless you export them. The app offers an optional app lock using your device's fingerprint, face, or screen lock, and blocks screenshots and the recents-screen preview while that lock is enabled. PDF exports can be encrypted with a password you choose (AES-128).
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this URL and the "Last updated" date above will change.
