At Tech News Live, the goal is simple: help you make confident technology decisions without the jargon or the hype. This page explains exactly how we research our reviews, comparisons and guides, where our information comes from, and the standards we hold ourselves to — so you always know what you’re reading and why you can trust it.
Who writes Tech News Live
Tech News Live is written and edited by Syed Nawaz, the site’s founder and a long-time technology enthusiast who has followed the smartphone and laptop industry closely for years. You can verify his identity and connect on LinkedIn. Every article is written and edited by a real person — nothing is auto-generated and published unread.
How we research
We are an independent, research-driven publication. For each review, comparison or buying guide, we:
- Start from primary sources — manufacturer specifications, official pricing and product documentation.
- Cross-check those against the consensus of trusted, established expert reviewers and outlets that physically test hardware in controlled conditions.
- Verify current prices and availability before publishing, and clearly flag when a figure is a temporary sale price.
We’re transparent about what we are: we gather, verify and interpret the best available information and professional testing into clear, practical advice. Where we have direct hands-on experience with a device, we say so. Where an assessment is based on research and aggregated expert testing, we say that too. We do not claim laboratory tests we did not run.
How we make recommendations
Our recommendations are based on genuine value to the reader, not on which product pays the most. We weigh price, performance, battery life, longevity, software support and the things people actually notice day to day. When we name a “best” pick, it’s because the evidence supports it for a clearly defined type of buyer — and we tell you who each pick is for.
Accuracy, sources and corrections
We work hard to be accurate and current. Specifications and prices change, so we date our articles and revise them when meaningful updates land. If you spot an error, please tell us through our contact page and we’ll correct it promptly — getting it right matters more to us than being first.
Independence and how we’re funded
Tech News Live is editorially independent and reader-focused. The site may display advertising, and we may use affiliate links in future; if we do, it never changes our recommendations or what we tell you. Our advice would read exactly the same whether or not a product earns us anything.
Our standards, in short
- A real, named author and real editing — never unread automation.
- Primary sources first, verified against trusted expert testing.
- Honest about what is hands-on versus research-based.
- Dated and updated, with a clear route to corrections.
- Recommendations made for readers, never for advertisers.
